Welcome to Luyben Music. Bonade and the rest of the staff at Luyben's are glad you dropped by. Luyben's is celebrating over 70 years of serving the Clarinet community. Robert Luyben, began offering his ligatures in 1965 as a sideline to his thriving music store. Luyben, who died in 1993, had studied with Daniel Bonade and was a clarinetist with the U.S. Navy Band. He turned down several job offers playing in New York to open a small teaching studio and repair shop in his hometown.

Bob was joined in the business by his wife Annette who managed the finances, and eventually by their daughter Annette, who currently operates the business.

We have not downsized and are looking forward to serving the Clarinet Community Exclusively.
